KULEKHANI-III TRANSMISSION LINE DESIGN OF 14MW FOR 25 KM

ABSTRACT

The transmission line design for the Kulekhani-III Hydropower Project, which spans 25 kilometers to connect with the Hetauda New Substation for a 14MW capacity, is shown in detail in the report. The design procedure entails precise calculation for the Most Economical Span, Conductor Selection, Sag Calculation, Tower Height Calculation, Air Clearance, Tower Specification, Insulator Selection, and Tension Calculation for Different Conductors. These calculations, which are essential to the project's success, are carefully carried out by hand or with the use of software MATLAB. The report offers a comprehensive Total Cost Estimate for the complete transmission line project in addition to detailing the complexities of Tower Design and including all calculated parts.
